Bengaluru-based startup Figr has secured $2.25 million in seed funding to enhance its AI-powered design platform, aiming to transform the way UI and UX professionals work. The funding round was led by Kalaari Capital, with support from Antler, Golden Sparrow, and various angel investors.

Boosting AI-Driven Design

Figr plans to use the new capital to improve its custom AI models, specifically designed for UI/UX tasks. The platform automates repetitive tasks like wireframing and prototyping, allowing designers to focus on creativity instead of mundane details. Co-founder and CEO Moksh Garg highlighted the benefits, stating, “Designers were spending weeks on research and wireframing. Figr handles these tasks, letting designers do what they do best.”

Growing the Team and User Base

The startup, founded in 2023 by Moksh Garg and Chirag Singla, aims to expand its product and growth teams with this funding. Figr is targeting a wide range of users, including freelancers, design studios, and startup design teams. Since its launch, Figr has gained over 75,000 signups and processed more than 500,000 queries, with around 80% of users located outside India. The company aims to achieve $1 million in annual recurring revenue within the next year.

Simplifying the Design Process

Figr’s platform is designed to streamline UI/UX design by automating repetitive tasks. It claims to reduce design timelines by up to ten times, significantly lowering costs. The platform integrates smoothly with existing workflows, enabling design teams to deliver high-quality results quickly.

Sampath P, a partner at Kalaari Capital, expressed enthusiasm for the startup, saying, “AI will transform design into a more dynamic and iterative process. The Figr platform integrates with existing workflows, driving significant gains in productivity and efficiency.” He added that Kalaari is excited to support Figr in shaping the future of product design.
