For Indian sellers to expand the market Flipkart partnered with Nepal’s Sastodeal and also to boost buisness. Flipkart is India’s leading ecommerce marketplace. Which now has done a partnership with Sastodeal, which is an ecommerce company from Nepal. This is now allow to cross-border trade opportunities for its Indian sellers.

As per the partnership, Sastodeal have to host products from Flipkart marketplace sellers. Which will be operating across various categories of audio devices, babycare & kids, men’s clothing, women’s ethnic wear, and sports & fitness, and others, will open up access to customers in Nepal.

On Flipkart platform majority of the sellers belong to the MSME category. Thus, this partnership will surely benefit them.

Flipkart’s press statement said, “As MSMEs across the country bounce back and continue to look towards newer avenues for business growth, opportunities like these give them further confidence in the potential of ecommerce platforms.”

Currently, Flipkart has 200,000 sellers from India, most of the people are from smaller cities such as Ludhiana, Meerut, Jaipur, Lucknow Surat, Kanpur, Agra, Coimbatore, and Ahmedabad. In the first phase, 5,000 products will be seen in the partnership, which is listed on Sastodeal.

Sastodeal CEO Amun Thapa said, “The opportunity brought by Flipkart for Nepalese consumers is going to build a strong growth story for ecommerce in our country.”

However, the Private brands of Flipkart like MarQ and SmartBuy will also be listed on the Sastodeal platform. They will focus on the categories such as electronics, home appliances/home decor, and furnishings.
