LinkedIn has unveiled its seventh annual list of India’s top emerging startups, showcasing companies that are making significant strides in various industries. This year’s report highlights a booming entrepreneurial ecosystem in India, which now ranks as the third-largest startup hub globally, according to the Startup India initiative.

Notably, India has seen a remarkable growth in its number of unicorns, second only to the U.S. as of 2022, and the startup count surged by 71.5% from about 20,000 in 2021 to over 34,000 in 2023, as reported by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

The LinkedIn Top Startups list is generated from data reflecting employment growth, member engagement, and talent attraction over the past year. To qualify, companies must be headquartered in India, privately held, independent, and have a minimum of 50 full-time employees while being no older than five years.
