Funding Triumph for Emerging Brands

In an exciting development for India’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) landscape, three early-stage brands—The Paan Legacy, Hemptyful, and Polr.Care—have each secured funding of up to ₹1 crore. This funding comes through the D2C Insider’s Elevate Growth Accelerator program, which concluded with a successful Demo Day event.

What Happened at the Demo Day?

During the Demo Day, these three startups stood out among a group of eight brands that presented their business ideas to a panel of notable investors. Over 50 investors participated, including members from D2C Insider Angels, DSG Consumer Partners, Mumbai Angels, and Indian Angel Network. The event took place in Gurugram and showcased the potential of these promising companies.

Celebrating the Winners

The funding is not just about financial support; it’s also a recognition of the innovative ideas these brands bring to the table. The Paan Legacy specializes in unique paan products, Hemptyful focuses on health and wellness solutions, and Polr.Care is committed to offering effective personal care items. Each brand now has the opportunity to grow and scale its operations significantly.

Elevate Growth Accelerator: A Comprehensive Program

The Elevate Growth Accelerator program is a 12-week initiative designed to help startups strengthen their foundation in the D2C sector. Participants attended over 20 live sessions covering essential business topics and received one-on-one mentorship from industry leaders like Aditya Sharma of The Souled Store and Karthik Reddy of Blume Ventures.

Valuable Insights and Networking

The program provided invaluable insights on business strategies, enabling participants to refine their operations for future growth. Amit Jain, founder of CarDekho and the chief guest at the D2C Insider Regional CXO Meet North, praised such initiatives for nurturing entrepreneurship and supporting the growth of Bharat 2.0.

Resources for Growth

D2C Insider equipped participants with a comprehensive package, including ₹25 lakh in credits from top service providers like WebEngage, Shiprocket, and Unicommerce. This support helps startups improve their branding, marketing, and supply chain management.

Revant Kaza’s Perspective

Revant Kaza from Hemptyful expressed gratitude for the program, stating, “The Elevate program was incredibly valuable. We connected with like-minded founders and gained insight into what investors seek to scale brands. The funding will help us with branding and marketing, research and development for a strong supply chain, and building a competent team.”

Connecting Investors and Founders

The Demo Day was a platform for emerging entrepreneurs to connect directly with investors. D2C Insider’s jury included experienced investors from various firms, providing a wealth of knowledge and networking opportunities. Additionally, the event featured the D2C Insider Regional CXO Meet North, bringing together over 150 founders for discussions on industry trends and shared experiences.

Looking Ahead: Future of D2C Insider

D2C Insider has been actively supporting the D2C ecosystem in India since its founding in 2019, aiding over 40 brands through its accelerator program. Abhishek Shah, Founder of D2C Insider, emphasized the organization’s mission to empower early-stage startups by connecting them with the capital and expertise they need.

What’s Next?

Cohort 3 of the Elevate Growth Accelerator is set to launch in November 2024, promising to continue this momentum of support and innovation within the D2C sector.

Conclusion: A Bright Future for D2C Startups

With the successful funding of The Paan Legacy, Hemptyful, and Polr.Care, the D2C Insider community is proving to be a vital player in nurturing the next generation of consumer brands in India.
