Safe Security’s Massive $70 Million Series C Boost

Safe Security, formerly known as Lucideus, just secured $70 million in a Series C funding round led by Avataar Ventures. This round attracted a star-studded lineup of investors including Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, NextEquity Partners, Prosperity7 Ventures, Eight Roads, ex-Cisco CEO John Chambers, and Sorenson Capital.

This new injection of capital will supercharge Safe Security’s ambitious vision called ‘CyberAGI’, fueling growth in engineering, R&D, and market expansion.

From IIT Bombay to Global Cybersecurity Leader

Founded in 2012 by IIT Bombay graduates Saket Modi, Viditkumar Baxi, and Rahul Tyagi, Safe Security started as a bootstrapped company in India. Today, its headquarters are in Palo Alto, with additional offices in New York, London, Bengaluru, and New Delhi.

Safe Security’s mission is clear: help businesses identify, quantify, and reduce cyber risks using cutting-edge AI-driven tools.

What Makes Safe Security Stand Out?

AI-Powered Cyber Risk Quantification and Management

Safe’s platform covers critical areas like Cyber Risk Quantification (CRQ), Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), and Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM). Over half of its customers already use the TPRM module, highlighting the growing demand for its innovative solutions.

The World’s First Fully Autonomous CTEM

Safe’s latest breakthrough is a fully autonomous Continuous Threat Exposure Management system, integrated within its Cyber Risk Singularity platform. This technology actively identifies and mitigates threats without manual intervention—something Safe claims to be the first in the world to achieve.

What’s Next for Safe Security?

With this new funding, Safe Security plans to accelerate development of its CyberAGI vision—a future where cyber risk management is smarter, faster, and more automated than ever before.

The company will expand its engineering team, boost research efforts, and grow its global sales footprint, aiming to lead the next wave of cybersecurity innovation.

Why This Matters

In today’s digital world, cyber threats are evolving faster than ever. Safe Security’s AI-driven, autonomous approach to risk management could be a gamechanger for organizations struggling to keep up.

By combining deep expertise with cutting-edge AI, Safe Security is shaping the future of how companies protect themselves from cyberattacks—making businesses safer worldwide.
