Zoho Launches Its Own POS Devices as Swadeshi Push Gains Momentum; Arattai to Integrate with Zoho Pay Soon

Zoho Enters the Hardware Space

In a major move at the Global Fintech Fest 2025, Zoho unveiled its first point-of-sale (POS) devices, marking its entry into in-person payment solutions. The announcement came during the event organised by the Payments Council of India, the National Payments Corporation of India, and the Fintech Convergence Council.

The launch expands Zoho’s Zoho Payments platform, first introduced in 2024, which allows businesses to accept payments securely online. With the new POS devices, Zoho now enables merchants to accept tap, dip, and swipe card payments, as well as UPI payments via static and dynamic QR codes.

Features Designed for Businesses

The POS devices come loaded with features to simplify daily business operations:

• Built-in billing and receipt printing
• Barcode scanning for inventory management
• QR devices with sound boxes for instant payment confirmation

These features aim to make payment collection seamless, while connecting directly with Zoho’s broader ecosystem of accounting, billing, and payroll products.

Sivaramakrishnan Iswaran, CEO of Zoho Payment Technologies, highlighted that the initiative is part of a vision to unify business finance, banking, and payments into a single integrated ecosystem, streamlining processes from collections to payouts and reconciliation.

Integration with Arattai and Zoho Pay

In addition to hardware, Zoho is expanding its digital payments ecosystem. Vemby, a spokesperson, revealed that Arattai, the conversational AI platform, will soon integrate with Zoho Pay, enabling businesses to manage payments and customer interactions in a single interface.

This integration aligns with Zoho’s strategy of creating an end-to-end financial ecosystem for businesses, making payments, accounting, and communication seamless and fully integrated.

Strengthening the Swadeshi Movement

The launch of Zoho’s own POS devices also reinforces the company’s commitment to the Swadeshi movement, promoting homegrown technology solutions in India.
