Vancouver-based artificial intelligence startup Klue, which has evolved software program aimed to present organizations a better view of their competitors, has raised a $19.7 million CAD ($15 million USD) Series A spherical of financing. The funding brings the company’s total investment to $24.9 million CAD.

The investment can be utilized by Klue to boost up product and system learning development.

Silicon Valley-based Craft Ventures led the financing. Other members covered HWVP, present buyers OMERS Ventures, Rhino Ventures, and BDC Capital, and numerous angel investors, consisting of Frederic Kerrest, co-founding father of Okta, and Zach Coelius. The investment can be utilized by Klue to boost up product and system learning development.

Klue was based in 2015 through CEO Jason Smith, former president of customer intelligence platform Vision Critical, and CTO Sarathy Naicker, former leader technologist at Sophos and Active State. The startup released out of stealth in 2017 with $4 million in venture capital. Its backers included angel buyers like Ryan Holmes (Hootsuite) and Daniel Debow (founding father of Helpful, which was obtained through Shopify).

The startup goals to assist organizations find and curate competitive data, through combining web research with employee expertise into one repository. The software program is focused to product marketers, competitive intel, and sales enablement groups, and permits them to capture, manage, and consider intelligence from the web and across the company, in addition to talk insights through platforms their teams already use.

With clients that encompass essential B2B tech companies which include Cisco, Tableau, SurveyMonkey, Red Hat, and Shopify, Klue claims it has seen its sales triple during the last 3 years. The startup’s team presently includes 50 people, spread throughout Vancouver, Toronto, and Amsterdam. Klue expects to double its headcount in the subsequent year.
