IndiGo is celebrating its 18th anniversary on August 7 with a special promotion and a new business class product announcement. To commemorate the milestone, the airline is offering up to 18% off on flights from August 5 to August 8, 2024. Travelers can use the code ‘HAPPY18’ to avail of the discount.

The anniversary promotion comes as IndiGo, operated by Interglobe Aviation Ltd, recently reported its financial results for Q1 2024. The company saw a 12% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹2,729 crore, although revenue from operations increased by 17% to ₹19,571 crore. The airline’s EBITDA rose by 4% to ₹5,160 crore, but the EBITDA margin decreased to 26.4%.

In addition to the anniversary offer, IndiGo is set to unveil a new business class product tailored for India’s busiest routes. Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, highlighted the airline’s growth alongside India’s economic rise and expressed excitement about this new product, which aims to enhance travel options for business travelers. The new business class offering is expected to launch by the end of the year.

Despite the positive developments, IndiGo’s stock was trading slightly lower at ₹4,298 on NSE as of 10:18 am.
