Bengaluru Startup Revrag.ai Launches AI Assistant to Transform Sales Processes

In the competitive landscape of sales development, Bengaluru-based startup Revrag.ai is making waves with its AI-powered assistant, Emma. Designed to streamline repetitive tasks for sales teams, Emma enables professionals to focus on high-value activities, significantly enhancing productivity and efficiency.

Addressing the Challenges of Sales Development

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and Business Development Representatives (BDRs) play a crucial role in any B2B organization. While SDRs focus on reaching out to new leads, BDRs identify growth opportunities for the business. However, the increasing demands of these roles often lead to burnout, inconsistency, and scalability challenges.

According to a recent McKinsey Global Survey, organizations that actively use generative AI have seen the most significant improvements in marketing and sales functions. Recognizing this gap, childhood friends Ashutosh Singh, Neeraj Gupta, and Pankaj Gupta founded Revrag.ai in 2024 to harness AI technology for sales professionals.

The Vision Behind Revrag.ai

Having previously developed multiple SaaS products, the founders observed that despite numerous available tools, many revenue teams struggled with securing demos, qualifying leads, and scaling sales processes. “With the rise of GenAI, we realized it was time to rethink how revenue teams operate,” explained Singh, Co-founder and CEO.

Leveraging his experience at companies like 6sense and Slintel, Singh and his team created Emma, an AI assistant that fully automates sales processes. According to the startup, Emma can achieve ten times more demo meetings at just 4% of the cost of traditional methods.

Empowering Sales Teams, Not Replacing Them

Singh emphasizes that Emma is not intended to replace human sales teams but to empower them. “This technology will handle routine tasks and initial outreach, allowing human BDRs to focus on high-value activities that require emotional intelligence and complex problem-solving,” he stated.

Key Features of Emma

Emma is equipped with several features that enhance the efficiency of sales teams:

  • Personalized Email Outreach: Emma prospects and writes bespoke, hyper-personalized emails to book meetings for sales representatives.
  • Dual Modes: The assistant operates in two modes: “autopilot,” which is fully automated, and “copilot,” allowing users to review and approve emails before they are sent.
  • Data Scouring: Emma gathers information from various sources, including Apollo, LinkedIn, and ContactOut, to create informed outreach strategies.

Revrag.ai partners with over ten data providers to access account data, buying intent, psychographics, and more, ensuring Emma’s insights are comprehensive and effective.

Time Efficiency and Accuracy

Singh notes that while a human SDR or BDR typically spends 30 to 50 minutes on lead research, Emma can gather the same information in just three seconds. This dramatic time savings allows sales teams to prioritize meaningful client interactions rather than getting bogged down in administrative tasks.

Business Model and Early Traction

Since its launch, Revrag.ai has piloted Emma with multiple B2B startups, including Segwise, Bindbee, GenscaleAI, and FutureAGI, onboarding a total of 20 companies through a startup program. Singh explains that the program offers discounted pricing to help startups realize the value of the product before transitioning to standard pricing.

The company’s target market includes mid-sized and large enterprises. While currently based in Bengaluru, Revrag.ai plans to relocate its headquarters to Delaware, USA, with a sales team operating from there and a tech team in India.

Funding and Future Plans

In August 2024, Revrag.ai raised $600,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Powerhouse Ventures. Notable investors include Viral Bajaria (Co-founder of 6sense) and CRED Founder Kunal Shah. The startup is looking to raise another round of funding starting in October to enhance its product and add new features.

As the market for AI-driven sales solutions continues to expand, Revrag.ai is positioning itself to compete with international players like 11x in the UK and Artisan in the US.

Conclusion

With Emma, Revrag.ai is setting a new standard for how sales teams can leverage AI to optimize their processes and reduce burnout. By automating repetitive tasks, the startup allows sales professionals to engage in more meaningful interactions, ultimately driving better results and fostering growth. As the company prepares for future expansions and enhancements, it stands poised to redefine the landscape of sales development.
