There has been done a significant change in the app. There is a new introduction of algorithmically chosen “Suggested Posts” and response to the technology, which allowed TikTok to establish itself as a surging rival

Starting from today itself, Instagram has included the Suggested Posts at the bottom of the Home feed. Which the Instagram users will reach after scrolling through all the new content on their main feed and from the accounts they follow.

These will be based on what the app thinks interests you, and it will glean through a number of factors, including analyzation of the content you liked and shared and the accounts that you follow.

So if you’re excited about specifics interests—like food and interior design, then you would be able to see more content that would have loved to have seen,” says Instagram’s Robby Stein.

The executive responsible for the new feature. “We saw an opportunity to actually help bring some of the best of Instagram to you…instead of relying entirely on you to find all of the best content on Instagram.”

So, gor now, Suggested Posts are tucked away in an innocuous place on Instagram. It’s not sure whether many users regularly get to the bottom of their Home feeds or not. But according to the Instagram in the future it will be refining Suggested Posts and wouldn’t comment on whether these posts will later appear at top in a user’s feed or whether they will include content from Reels.

Suggested Posts are basically similar to what Instagram already shows in its algorithmically driven Explore page. The company refused to provide details about how the content selected for Suggested Posts will be different from what already appear in the Explore Section.

However, feed if Instagram’s hasn’t been altered much in past years. Only, we noticed in 2016, that Instagram changed its displayed posts, switching from chronologically displaying them to an algorithmic method. Which was according to the content from the accounts you interact with the most. Before this, in 2013 the Home tab was changed when Instagram began including ads there.
