Social music application Humit on Monday said it’s anything but an undisclosed pre-seed round drove by Antler India, with support from First Check.
Indeed, private backers, including Alagu Periyannan (CTO, Bluejeans); Sarath Sura (Co-author, Sierra Atlantic); Ankit Mathuria (CTO, OYO Rooms); Shivakumar Ganesan (Co-originator, Exotel); Gajendra Jangid (Co-organizer, CARS24); Kshitij Khandelwal (Co-originator, Pixxel), among others, likewise partook in the round.
Established in 2020 by BITS Pilani graduates Rohit Ganapathy, Prithvi Sankar and Ishaan Negi, Humit gives a sound centered web-based media experience for Spotify clients, with mixes across Apple Music, YouTube Music, and SoundCloud right now underway.
The startup depends on a local area driven methodology, where music is discovered and shared on client directed channels called ‘stations’. The stage is home to more than 500 stations made by clients across 42 nations.
