European pre-seed and seed-stage VC Seedcamp has reached £78 million in the first and only close of its fifth asset, Seedcamp V, its biggest to date.
The round was sponsored by speculators including British Patient Capital, Legal and General, TIFF, LGT, Vintage IP, Isomer Capital and OMERS. VC benefactors incorporate Index, Sequoia, Underscore VC, Northzone, Atomico and Draper Esprit. Heavenly attendant benefactors incorporate Taavet Hinrikus (TransferWise), Daniel Dines (UiPath), David Helgason (Nordic Makers/Unity) and Shakil Khan (Spotify).
The new asset comes three years on from the end of Fund IV, at £60 million, and this new asset builds the measure of capital it will put resources into pre-seed and seed-stage organizations, just as saving capital for follow-on gathers together to Series B.
Seedcamp supported Hopin, the virtual meetings stage which made roughage during the pandemic and as of late raised $125 million, giving it a $2 billion valuation.
