Indusbridge Ventures (IBV), an India-based investor specializing in dual-use and defense technology sectors, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with FedTech, a US-based deeptech venture builder. Together, they will launch the India to America (I2A) programme, known as the ‘I2A Launchpad,’ aimed at boosting Indian startups in the dual-use technology sector.
This pioneering initiative is designed to bridge Indian startups with the US dual-use technology ecosystems, enhancing innovation and commercialization across both countries. The program offers Indian startups a direct pathway to the US market, including access to customers and partners in the US Government and commercial markets, strategic investors, and defense primes. Participants will receive ongoing support and mentorship to scale their operations in the US, the world’s largest defense market with a budget exceeding $800 billion.
A Gateway to High-Growth Opportunities
The I2A Launchpad will open doors to key sectors, including the Department of Defense (DoD), space agencies, commercial aerospace, and government technology fields. The inaugural cohort, set to launch in October 2024, will feature 10-15 startups.
Future programs under this partnership aim to address critical technology gaps and foster further Indo-US collaborations. By leveraging India’s cost-effective manufacturing capabilities and advanced technology, these startups will have the potential to scale rapidly and meet global market demands.
Expert Mentorship and Strategic Support
Participants in the I2A Launchpad will benefit from expert mentorship, strategic workshops, and vital networking opportunities. The program is designed to equip startups with the necessary tools to navigate the complexities of the DoD ecosystem, ensure compliance with US regulations, develop market entry strategies, and refine business models.
Jake Kramer, Managing Partner of FedTech, emphasized, “This program will prepare innovative technology companies for integration into the US market and open doors to commercialization opportunities. FedTech’s extensive network and expertise will help Indian startups scale and succeed internationally.”
Rahul Devjani, Managing Partner at Indusbridge Ventures, added, “We are dedicated to fostering innovation and providing pathways for Indian startups to succeed globally. The I2A program aligns with India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission and will help build India-centric, global companies.”
