New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) — Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of Samsung Electronics’ Device eXperience (DX) Division, highlighted India’s significance as a fast-growing global market and a key opportunity for the South Korean tech giant. Speaking on Tuesday, Han emphasized that India’s rapidly expanding market is crucial for Samsung’s global strategy. Han’s visit to Samsung’s Noida facility underscored its importance, noting it as a pivotal hub for the company’s global operations. “Our Noida factory is one of our largest, serving not just India but international markets as well,” Han remarked.
He praised India’s large, tech-savvy youth demographic, which drives innovation and influences Samsung’s product development. “We are proud of the many young engineers contributing to AI advancements at our R&D centers in India,” Han added.
Samsung’s “AI for All” vision, launched earlier this year, aims to enhance consumer lives through artificial intelligence and interconnected devices. The company’s Galaxy AI-powered smartphones and Bespoke AI home appliances reflect this commitment, creating a cohesive ecosystem of smart devices.
Samsung’s dedication to India is evident through its substantial investments in local manufacturing, with two major plants in Noida and Sriperumbudur, and additional facilities in Noida and Bengaluru focused on design and R&D. These centers play a critical role in both local and global product innovation.
