Introduction

ZenStatement, a finance automation startup, has successfully raised $1.62 million in seed funding, marking a significant step in its mission to transform cash flow management. Led by Bengaluru-based 3One4 Capital and supported by other investors, the startup aims to enhance its offerings and expand into new markets.

What Is ZenStatement?

Founded in 2023 by Sourabh Nolkha and Ankit Narsaria, ZenStatement—formerly known as SimpliFin—provides AI-driven solutions for financial analytics and cash flow management. The platform is designed for enterprises dealing with high transaction volumes across multiple sales channels.

ZenStatement’s tools enable businesses to:

  • Monitor cash flows
  • Optimize financial operations
  • Reconcile transactions
  • Forecast cash flow trends

By utilizing AI, the platform allows users to query financial data using natural language, making it easier for finance teams to gain insights quickly.

Plans for Expansion

With the newly raised capital, ZenStatement plans to:

  • Expand its product line, which currently includes receivable management solutions
  • Introduce new features like payable management and cash flow forecasting
  • Enhance sales and marketing efforts both in India and internationally

CEO Sourabh Nolkha emphasized the startup’s goal: “By automating finance processes end-to-end, we help finance teams be more productive and focus on activities that drive more impact.”

Support from Notable Investors

ZenStatement has attracted backing from a range of angel investors, including Michael Boyd, former global treasury head at Apple, and founders from successful companies like Chetan Venugopal (Pierien Services) and Ankit Nagori (Curefoods). Their support underscores the potential of ZenStatement’s innovative approach.

Tackling Revenue Leakages

One of ZenStatement’s key advantages is its ability to help businesses identify and address revenue leakages—a common issue for enterprises with complex transaction systems. The platform offers comprehensive tools for:

  • Cash flow reconciliation
  • Chargeback management
  • Dispute resolution

Sonal Saldanha, Vice President of Investments at 3One4 Capital, highlighted the importance of ZenStatement’s solution, stating, “Reconciliation is a surprisingly hard problem to solve, and businesses often resort to brittle solutions due to the lack of viable alternatives. ZenStatement provides a robust solution that can serve as a starting point for tackling this problem.”

Conclusion

With its recent funding and innovative technology, ZenStatement is poised to make a significant impact in the finance automation space. As it expands its offerings and market reach, the startup aims to simplify financial processes for businesses, ultimately empowering finance teams to work more efficiently.
