Ola Electric has officially launched its highly anticipated ‘Roadster Series’ of motorcycles at their flagship event, Sankalp 2024. This new lineup, which includes the Roadster, Roadster X, and Roadster Pro, represents a significant leap for the company as it expands its footprint into the motorcycle segment.
During the event, Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CMD of Ola Electric, emphasized the transformative potential of this launch. “Today, 2/3rd of India’s 2W market consists of motorcycles,” Aggarwal stated. “With Ola’s entry into this segment, EV penetration is poised to further accelerate in the Indian 2W market. We have already made strides in boosting EV adoption in the scooter sector, and with our advanced portfolio of motorcycles, we aim to supercharge EV penetration.”
The ‘Roadster Series’ is designed to appeal to a broad range of consumers, combining cutting-edge technology with sleek, high-performance designs. Ola Electric plans to integrate its proprietary battery cells into these motorcycles starting early next year, marking a pivotal step in their strategy to drive mass EV adoption.
The launch of the Roadster Series is expected to not only enhance Ola Electric’s market presence but also accelerate the shift towards electric vehicles in India. By targeting a significant segment of the two-wheeler market with these new models, Ola Electric is set to play a crucial role in the country’s transition to sustainable transportation.
