Starting a business had always felt like something distant, something people did when they had it all figured out. But life had other plans. After a difficult business experience left me low on confidence and funds, I took a year to help out in my father’s business. That’s when I realized: I didn’t just want to work, I wanted to create.

It wasn’t some lightbulb moment. It was gradual. My father who has run his own business for years became my biggest supporter. He believed in me before I did. With his constant encouragement and gentle nudges, I decided to give my long-lost passion a chance.That’s

when the name Arkaye came into being a name that holds deep significance. Arkaye is derived from the word Arka, which refers to the Sun, symbolizing radiance, power, and new beginnings. Just like we honour the sun through Surya Namaskar, Arkaye is our way of honoring light, creativity, and inner strength. It signifies a Sunrise, a fresh start, filled with possibility. That’s what this brand was for me: a sunrise after a long, uncertain night.

The final spark came after my cousin’s wedding. As part of tradition, she was given a silver ring. But within weeks, it tarnished and lost its charm. It didn’t feel special. Being from a family with Jewellery roots, I knew we could do better. I realized I wasn’t meant to sit at a desk from 9 to 5. I was meant for 92.5. That was the moment. The shift. The beginning of something that felt so right. And so Arkaye was born.

I’ll be honest: the first few months of starting my business were tough. Despite pouring my heart and soul into it, I didn’t see the results I was hoping for. No orders, no inquiries, just silence. It was a tough pill to swallow. But instead of giving up, I doubled down on my efforts. I kept showing up every day, believing in my vision, and staying consistent in my actions. Slowly and gradually, things started to change.

After what felt like an eternity of waiting, I finally landed my first 4-5 orders. And then, like magic, the floodgates opened. Suddenly, I was overwhelmed with inquiries, and orders were pouring in faster than I could handle. This rollercoaster ride taught me that consistency and belief in the process are the true keys to success. Even when things seem bleak, even when it feels like you’re taking one step forward and two steps back, you have to keep going.

Arkaye is led by Anshu and Khushi Indoria. I (Anshu) bring the spark of lived experience, while Khushi, with her operational sharpness and creative vision, powers the brand from within. After facing countless failures previously and doubts, it took just one leap of faith and we, two sisters, gave life to Arkaye. Together, we’ve built Arkaye not as a company, but as an extension of our own journey fueled by trust, sisterhood, and a love for detail.
