Delivery startup RaRa Delivery has raised $3.25 million in a round led by Sequoia Capital India’s Surge and Indonesia’s East Ventures. 500 new companies, Angel Central, GK Plug and Play and angels, for example, Royston Tay and Yang Bin Kwok have additionally joined the round.
As indicated by the Indonesian coordinations startup, the proceeds will be used on its main goal to move all Indonesian deliveries to moment and same-day delivery. RaRa Delivery’s tech team, which is based in India, means to scale its operations from 10 to 40 in the next a half year.
Founded by Karan Bhardwaj, RaRa provides last-mile coordinations services for e-commerce businesses across Greater Jakarta by leveraging its asset-light model and real-time enhancement technology.
RaRa claims it has been able to deliver three-hour deliveries by upto 20% cheaper due to the efficiencies of batching technology. It currently delivers for the Lazada, Shopee, and Bukalapak, among others.
Earlier in April 2020, RaRa had raised over $800k in its seed round led by 500 Startups. A syndicate of angel investors from Southeast Asia-focused Angel Central have likewise participated. It was likewise among the Surge’s 23 new businesses for its fifth partner.
