In a strategic move that’s capturing the attention of the Indian e-commerce sector, GoKwik has promoted Abhinav Midha to Chief Business Officer (CBO). Experts say this shift could redefine how India’s online retail ecosystem grows and scales in the coming years.
Midha, who previously served as GoKwik’s Vice President of Sales, has been a driving force behind the company’s 100% year-on-year revenue growth, while maintaining profitability and operational efficiency. His new role will see him lead GoKwik’s business strategy, sales organization, and agency partnerships, marking a critical step in the company’s journey toward becoming a globally respected, India-born e-commerce enabler.
“Abhinav has been at the heart of GoKwik’s commercial success story. From building our sales DNA to driving a product-led revenue motion, his leadership has been pivotal in creating a business that’s not just high-growth — but also highly disciplined,” said Chirag Taneja, Co-Founder and CEO of GoKwik. “As we gear up to expand market share in India, his transition to Chief Business Officer signals our next phase of strategic growth.”
A Leader with Proven Expertise
With nearly two decades of experience in retail, e-commerce, and SaaS, Midha brings a rare blend of operational expertise and strategic vision. He co-founded Shopholix, a retail-tech venture that digitized offline fashion and lifestyle shopping, launched a QSR venture, and began his career at Café Coffee Day. Prior to joining GoKwik, he led partnerships at Magicpin, forging high-value collaborations with major retail networks and food and beverage brands.
Under his leadership, GoKwik has built a predictable and scalable go-to-market engine, integrating sales, marketing, and product teams while laying the foundation for the company’s Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy. Analysts suggest that this approach could position GoKwik as a dominant force in India’s booming e-commerce market.
Vision for the Future
“The last four years at GoKwik have been an incredible journey of building, scaling, and learning. We’ve created a business rooted in trust, speed, and predictable growth. My vision as CBO is to make GoKwik the best e-commerce enabler, powered by product innovation, predictable GTM, and a world-class team,” Midha said. “More than growth, it’s about creating compounding value for our merchants, partners, and the entire commerce ecosystem.”
Currently, GoKwik supports over 15,000 brands, including Lenskart, Neeman’s, Man Matters, and Mamaearth, across fashion, beauty, electronics, wellness, and lifestyle sectors. Its suite of checkout, communication, and engagement tools helps D2C brands improve conversions, reduce RTOs, and enhance shopper engagement.
A Game-Changer for India’s E-Commerce
Industry insiders suggest that Midha’s elevation signals GoKwik’s intent to go beyond revenue growth. With India’s e-commerce market growing exponentially and global and domestic competition intensifying, GoKwik’s leadership is focused on building an ecosystem that adds tangible value to merchants while scaling rapidly across verticals.
Midha’s promotion comes at a pivotal moment for GoKwik. With online retail in India reaching new heights and digital payment adoption surging, his strategic leadership could prove critical in establishing GoKwik as the go-to e-commerce enabler for brands seeking scalable growth.
In essence, this move is more than just a corporate reshuffle—it’s a statement of intent. GoKwik is signaling that it is ready to scale faster, smarter, and more efficiently than ever before, with leadership that knows how to turn vision into measurable results. The coming years could see GoKwik not just helping brands grow, but fundamentally transforming how e-commerce operates in India—one innovation, one partnership, and one checkout at a time.
