Fantasy Akhada, an online fantasy sports platform, has raised $2 Mn in its pre-Series A round drove by Prime Securities, Team India Managers Limited, and existing investors like Jyotivardhan Jaipuria, Harsha Bhogle, Sunil Sood and Atul Kasbekar.

According to the Gurugram-based startup, the funds will be utilized to enhance its in-house tech capabilities, in client acquisition and maintenance strategies to ramp up the firm.

Established by Amit Purohit, Fantasy Akhada is the flagship result of a Fantasy Sports startup. It gives a wide range of game play choices to avid supporters in this country.

The platform at present offers just cricket and football and has plans to expand to kabaddi and basketball as well. On Fantasy Akhada, clients can initially sharpen their abilities by playing practice challenges. There are public cash challenges and private challenges on the platform as well.
