CtrlB Secures $2.5 Million in Seed Funding
Unified data platform CtrlB has raised $2.5 million in a seed funding round led by Chiratae Ventures, with participation from Equirus, InnovateX Fund, Campus Fund, and Point One Capital.
The fresh capital will power engineering, R&D, and patent filings for CtrlB’s cutting-edge indexing and compression technology, while also enabling the company to pursue enterprise certifications including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
What Makes CtrlB Different?
CtrlB’s platform stands out with its one-touch data ingestion, high-speed indexing, and deep compression. Its patent-pending indexing engine allows ultra-fast searches across high-cardinality datasets, while breakthrough ingestion speeds and up to 200x compression on logs and traces dramatically reduce storage costs.
These capabilities enable enterprises to retain far more telemetry and run high-volume workloads at a fraction of the cost of traditional observability tools.
Scaling Across India and the US
With the new funding, CtrlB plans to expand its presence in India and the United States, deepen partnerships within the cloud and DevOps ecosystems, and scale its customer success functions to drive faster adoption.
Co-founder and CEO Adarsh Srivastava said:
“This investment will allow us to strengthen our platform, deepen R&D, and serve enterprises that need high-performance observability at scale. Our customers want better speed, better economics, and simpler operations. With this round, we are doubling down on improving the customer experience from onboarding to performance to reliability.”
Investor Confidence in a Disruptive Architecture
Venkatesh Peddi, Managing Director at Chiratae Ventures, emphasized CtrlB’s potential:
“We believe in the disruptive architecture of CtrlB and its ability to change how observability is done today. With storage and retrieval of telemetry data made 10x better, enterprises will now be able to create comprehensive visibility and increase speed at the same time.”
Sunder Nookala of Equirus InnovateX Fund added:
“With ever-increasing data bloat, there’s a gap for efficient ways of ingesting and querying petabytes of data at low cost. CtrlB solves this with its proprietary probabilistic indexing and compression algorithm and decoupled storage-compute design at scale.”
Upcoming Platform Upgrades
CtrlB is preparing a major platform upgrade, featuring:
- Redesigned interface
- Rich, interactive dashboards
- Powerful correlation engine
- Patented indexing technology
The upgrades, combined with deeper cloud partnerships, are aimed at making CtrlB a foundational engine for enterprise observability, helping organizations handle massive data volumes faster, cheaper, and more efficiently.
Why CtrlB Matters
In a world where data bloat is skyrocketing, businesses need solutions that make telemetry actionable, searchable, and affordable. CtrlB’s breakthrough architecture promises to do just that, potentially transforming the way enterprises see, store, and analyze their data.
With $2.5 million in seed funding and a roadmap for rapid innovation, CtrlB is poised to become a game-changer in the observability and data analytics space.
