With the growing number of outlets for education, some people are now saying that college is no longer needed for a sure path of success. Bryce Cleveland, founder and CEO of his company Scalpa, has always been a strong believer in this. Scalpa is one of the leading companies to offer online training and supplies for the aesthetic industry.
Bryce Cleveland says that he knew the standard schooling system was not for him so he dropped out in the 9th grade to pursue his dream as a young entrepreneur. He still had a lot to learn through his early stages of business, but once he got into his twenties, Cleveland started his worldwide business in training individuals how to perform scalp micropigmentation, also known as SMP.
This was just the start of his successful career as a businessman and entrepreneur. “Once I started this business I saw there was a need for education throughout this entire industry,” says Cleveland. Soon after, he expanded into his current company, Scalpa, starting with his SMP training, then into all permanent makeup procedures, and eventually training in all areas of the aesthetic industry. Scalpa now has over 100 different courses to offer.
Bryce Cleveland has strategically designed his training platform to be accessible and affordable so any individual can get started on their career path towards success. He offers high-quality supplies to pair with their training courses, and prices them at an affordable cost so individuals can make their money back in just 2-3 procedures. He refers to his system as a “trade system,” and says this is the reason why the typical college system fails many people.
Scalpa offers not only all of the supplies and training needed to get started, but also offers help along the way and additional assets to get you on the right track. “I don’t want to just educate people and send them on their way like typical colleges and institutes,” says Cleveland, “I want to help them along the way and ensure their success.”
Some of the assets Scalpa has to offer alongside training and supplies include ongoing support, community outlet groups, marketing materials, media growth expertise, weekly conference calls, and directory listings. “What we have to offer will not only teach you how to perform the procedures, it will help you get customers right to your door,” he says.
Typical educational outlets and the college system only provide the necessary education to implement the role, whereas Cleveland describes the trade system as working together hand in hand to provide success. “When my students succeed, I succeed,” says Cleveland. The idea is to provide them the necessary education, supplies, and tools to get out there and get clients in the door and in exchange, they come back for more education, supplies, and ultimately build their service menu, clientele, and overall success.
Cleveland is always searching for the newest procedures to offer training in and is constantly growing. He says he continues to grow because he wants his students to continue to grow. To date, Scalpa is proud to have trained thousands of individuals around the world and help pave their path towards success.
