Apple has launched its latest developer beta update, introducing a range of AI-powered features across iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The update, available for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1, brings several enhancements designed to improve user experience and functionality.
One of the standout additions is the AI-driven Summarize feature in Safari. This tool, accessible through Safari’s Reader mode, provides users with concise summaries of web pages and articles. The Summarize feature can be activated via a new button marked with the Apple Intelligence logo. Upon activation, the tool scans the content and displays a summary, which appears at the top of the page on iPhones and in a sidebar on iPads and Macs.
In addition to the Safari update, Apple has enhanced Siri with improved contextual awareness. Siri can now better understand and respond to ambiguous queries, thanks to a redesigned user interface that enhances its interaction capabilities.
The Photos app has also been updated with a new AI feature that allows users to automatically create movies using the Memory Movie option. This feature supports text prompts, enabling users to tailor their movies to their preferences.
Moreover, the update introduces advanced Writing Tools across Apple’s first-party apps, offering enhanced spelling and grammar checks as well as text rewriting options in various tonalities.
These updates reflect Apple’s ongoing commitment to integrating AI technologies to enhance user experiences and productivity.
