The Project

In February 2007, we began The Entrepreneur Story project, as the 2nd “Hundred Dollar Business” experiment.

The intention was that we would spend 30 days and no more than $100 to create an e-book collection of 100 entrepreneurs’ stories from each of the 50 states in the U.S. and the 7 continents. Read more about the beginning of the project here.

It took longer than 30 days– although we did stay under budget at $49.

The book was released on December 26, 2007, and if you’d like a sneak peek, there’s a 30-page sample here.

The Editor

Carolynn Duncan is a 26 year old entrepreneur, and an aficionada of good business and technology. She really enjoys marketing, problem-solving, operations, and the funding process, and has consulted and networked with more entrepreneurs than sequoias have tree rings.

Over the past year, Carolynn helped to establish the Eastern Idaho Entrepreneurial Center, in order to strengthen the economy of Idaho and connect entrepreneurs with those who have resources to help.

Prior to working with the E Center, Carolynn worked at 4 startup companies, and started The Hundred Dollar Business, where she engineered 4 microbusiness projects.

Carolynn’s Story

This video is from December 2006– when Carolynn started her first business, The Hundred Dollar Business. She got up the guts to start her first business after attending a lecture series at BYU where local entrepreneurs talked about how they started their businesses.

Carolynn realized that if they could do it, then she probably could, too.
