Part 2: Every Entrepreneur Has A Story… What’s Yours?
My Story’s Still Being Written…
In a few weeks, I’ll be moving to Seattle. I’m hoping to break off independently and become a full-time entrepreneur again, once I get there.
After the past few years of both witnessing and making business mistakes, cutting my teeth on 4 microbusinesses, and then consulting with dozens of entrepreneurs in Idaho, I’m ready.
I’ve spent a year working on The Entrepreneur Story, and I think it provides value to new entrepreneurs who don’t know where to start.
My personal goal, to be completely transparent, is to personally sell at least 10,000 copies of this e-book, The Entrepreneur Story, and with the profits, use $50,000 to pay myself a salary for the next year, and the other $50,000 to fund a new, serious business project.
($50K may not seem like a lot to start a business with, but after 4 Hundred Dollar Business projects, I’m a very well-seasoned bootstrapper. I’d be surprised if I spent more than $10K getting something going.)
If I can accomplish selling 10,000 copies (and I have a 20-page packet of marketing plans to make it happen), then I’ll spend the first 3 months in Seattle doing market research and developing a business plan. That’s always a good place to start.
So that’s my story. This is what I’m working toward, and it’s exciting to me as an entrepreneur, to be taking the opportunity to try to accomplish something big.
